Keep an open mind and we'll get along fine.

This journal is for random updates on my life, involving friends, family, love and obsession; travel, triumphs, tips and tricks. I usually do not write with so many alliterations. I enjoy books and television (the former over the latter) and have a tendency to follow things passionately. I am an ex-marching band member and love any music I can sing to or dance to (which rules out more than you might think). Sometimes I write poetry. More often I write prose about gay boys, stereotypes and metaphors. Even more often I write fluff- but sometimes it turns serious, depending on the day of the week. I love my friends more than I love myself and- though often shy in person- enjoy meeting new people. Questions?

Lending Out Books
By Hal Sirowitz

You're always giving, my therapist said
You have to learn how to take. Whenever
you meet a woman, the first thing you do
is lend her your books. You think she'll
have to see you again in order to return them.
But what happens is, she doesn't have the time
to read them, & she's afraid if she sees you again
you'll expect her to talk about them, & will
want to lend her even more. So she
cancels the date. You end up losing
a lot of books. You should borrow hers.
